Women's Free Taster Sessions
Hertfordshire Golf is working with clubs within the county to offer some free golf taster sessions, we currently have two clubs that will be putting sessions on in January 2024, if you know anyone who would like to give golf a try please contact Matthew Crowhurst at CDO@Hertfordshiregolf.org
Community Sessions
Women's Free Taster Sessions
Working with the local Stroke Association and Parkinsons Organisations, we run weekly sessions at Chesfield Downs Golf Club for those who have survived a stroke or have been diagnosed with Parkinsons. In 2021 we were awarded a Sport England Return to Play grant which will go a long way to encouraging and seeing people enjoy the sport until early 2022, this grant how now been extended until March 2024. We now also have Essendon Country Club who are offering Dementia golf groups.
All who have taken part in these sessions have had a positive change to their lives including being active regularly and taking part in a sport that some of them thought they would never get back into. The sessions are heavily subsidised by the county and the grant which means cost to participants is minimal.
