The Answer to Week #12

'In stroke play before taking their stance a player removes a stake defining out of bounds that interferes with their line of play and then plays their shot. What is the ruling?' 

Answer: The player is given the general penalty unless the stake is replaced before they play their shot. (Rule 8.1a(1) and 8.1c).
