2022 Hertfordshire Junior League Finals Day.

Sunday 16th October greeted us with stunning early autumn weather, warm, still and just perfect for golf.         

Four, seven-man teams descended on Brickendon Grange Golf Club to do battle for the Ver League Shield and the Ver league plate.

All summer teams competed in four pools to reach the semi-finals. The teams who amassed the most points in their pool had met in September in the order of highest v lowest and second v third. The winners of those home and away matches then met in the Ver League Shield Final and the losers of the two semi-finals games met in the Ver Plate Final.

The Teams to reach the final were Cainhoe Wood who defeated Enfield in the semi-finals and Essendon who defeated Verulam in the semi finals.

Cainhoe Wood therefore met Essendon in the Shield. A strong Cainhoe Wood team came out on top winning 7 - 3.

Enfield, defeated by Cainhoe Wood in the semi-finals were able to overcome Verulam in a really close match with points of 6 - 4 to win the Ver Plate.

A huge thank you to all the clubs who participated in 2022. A shout out to Brickendon Grange for presenting a course in tip-top condition for the event and as always a personal thank you to the Junior Organisers who give up their precious family time supporting junior golf.
