Following the suspension of activity due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Hertfordshire Golf is now delighted to announce the first details of rescheduled events.
The Boys Championship will now be played at Verulam Golf Club on Monday 3rd August. The Championship will be played over 18 holes with tee times from 8am. There will be a maximum field of 60 players. Entrants must hold a competitive handicap of 12.4 or below at time of entry. Closing date for entries will be Friday 17th July. The entry fee will be £15. This event is being organised assuming no caddies or spectators will be permitted, the clubhouse will be closed, no catering will be available or provided and there will be no prizegiving. Full guidance will be sent to all competitors along with the Start Sheet approximately a week prior to the event. Entries are now open. Please enter via the HG website, https://www.hertfordshiregolf.org/competition.php.
The Men’s & Ladies County Championships will now both be held at Letchworth Golf Club on Sunday 20th and Monday 21st September. 36 holes strokeplay qualifying will be played for both events on Sunday 20th, with the top 4 players in each field qualifying for Semi Finals and Finals to be played on Monday 21st September. The size of each field will be announced in due course, with places being allocated to the entrants with the lowest handicaps. Full details will be announced shortly.
Unfortunately, the Family Cup, the Mixed Foursomes Championship, the Men’s County Foursomes Championship and the Ladies Champion of Champions event are cancelled and will not be played this year. Any entry fees received for these events will be refunded in due course. Any 2020 Ladies Club Champion will be eligible to enter the 2021 Champion of Champions event.
Planning for other events is ongoing, we hope to issue further information by the end of this month.
