Rules Roadshow event at Chesfield Downs G&CC

If you are interested in improving your Rules knowledge and are a member of a Hertfordshire Golf Club, why don't you sign up to come to Chesfield Downs G&CC on Wednesday 8th April for our next Hertfordshire Golf Rules Roadshow event. 

It is a free session arranged and conduced by qualified and experienced England Golf and Hertfordshire Golf tournament referees. 

All you need to do to confirm your attendance is email the County Secretary Louis Matamala on and spaces will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Spaces are limited to 40 and if oversubscribed preference will be given to a) those whom have not attended a previous roadshow and b) members of clubs who do not currently have an accredited Rules Official.

A practical half-day morning workshop, providing a great opportunity to improve your knowledge of the Rules of Golf through a series of interactive on-course sessions

Covering a wide range of common Rules situations:

relief situations – your options and how to proceed

the putting green


lost and unplayable balls

ground under repair/no play zones

penalty areas

Tuition provided by qualified and experienced England Golf and HG tournament referees

Tuition in small groups to allow for practical demonstrations and interactive Q&As

Suitable for everyone – from beginners looking to get a better grasp of the basics, to experienced golfers who want to keep up to date and know how to use the rules to their advantage

Please note:  This is an outdoor event, so delegates will need to be fully prepared for any   inclement weather

If you wish to attend the HG Rules Roadshow on Wednesday 8th April at Chesfield Downs G&CC please contact the County Secretary via email at by no later than Wednesday 1st April.

There is NO CHARGE to attend this event

Tea and Coffee will be provided for all on arrival
