Simon Kay of Ashridge named as new Men's Seniors Team Captain

Simon Kay of Ashridge has been named the new Men's County Seniors Team Captain with immediate effect.

Simon will work closely with Team Manager Nick O'Byrne of Moor Park and assisting the management team of Simon and Nick will be Simon's good friend of many years Bob Peacock of South Herts, with a view of Bob succeeding Nick in due course.

Simon has been a keen golfer since leaving school, playing in both Middlesex and Hertfordshire. Simon moved to Hertfordshire in 1998 when he joined South Herts but prior to that had been Middlesex County Champion in 1996. During his golfing career he has also won 8 club championships and 14 club scratch matchplay events. In 2008 Simon became South Herts Scratch team Captain for 4 years with reasonable success in the Herts League.

In 2015 Simon joined Ashridge and is now a regular member of their Scratch team. In the same year he also became part of the Men's County Seniors team and has an excellent record when representing the County team.

Hertfordshire Golf wish Simon every success in his new role.
