Hertfordshire Golf in association with Charlie Douglass Golf and The Melbourne Club at Brocket Hall are proud to present ‘Pitch, Putt & Prosecco’. Join a group of like minded women and learn the basics of playing golf at the county’s most prestigious golf facility, guided by an experienced female coach, and enjoy a glass of Prosecco at the end of each 1 hour session! This Level 1 Pitch, Putt & Prosecco course will run over a period of 6 weeks, with a maximum of 8 players in each session, and will introduce you to the basics of playing golf. Please see the above post for full details and booking
Working with the local Stroke Association and Parkinsons Organisations, we run weekly sessions at Chesfield Downs Golf Club for those who have survived a stroke or have been diagnosed with Parkinsons. In 2021 we were awarded a Sport England Return to Play grant which will go a long way to encouraging and seeing people enjoy the sport until early 2022, this grant how now been extended until the end of 2023.
All who have taken part in these sessions have had a positive change to their lives including being active regularly and taking part in a sport that some of them thought they would never get back into. The sessions are heavily subsidised by the county and the grant which means cost to participants is minimal.
