This year we have partnered with Golf Foundation to support Hertfordshire golf clubs to increase junior participation leading to affiliated membership. This partnership will work with and support golf clubs with recruitment and retention.
In recent years, junior representation from junior opens to league teams have declined and we are looking to turn this around, with your involvement, with this new initiative.
On the attached document is an outline of what we are proposing to Hertfordshire golf clubs.

To express your interest and be involved, please contact Hertfordshire Development Officer, Esther email@example.com by the deadline of 2nd March 2020. We will then arrange to come and meet with you and your team to plan junior activity at your club in 2020.
Looking forward to hearing from you
Women on Par is in short, a tried and tested 9 hole event played on Par 3 courses around the County. It features a novel scoring system, using a challenge scorecard, to help beginners learn the basic rules and etiquette of the game. Instead of counting shots, the scorecard outlines challenges for players to undertake, for example hitting the green or getting out of the bunker in one.
There are two levels of challenge scorecard, so events can cater for beginners and those who have played a little.
Women on Par helps new golfers develop as players. It’s also great fun and a good way to get newcomers involved with the club and its social life.

Working with the local Stroke Association and Parkinsons Organisations, we run two sessions every Monday between 10:00am - 12:00noon at Chesfield Downs Golf Club for those who have survived a stroke or have been diagnosed with Parkinsons.
We ran a 6 week block end of 2019 with up to 14 participants. All had a positive change to their lives by being active regularly and taking part in a sport that some of them thought they would never get back into. The sessions are heavily subsidised which means cost to participants is minimal.
If you are interested in being a part of this amazing opportunity or want to be involved in supporting the sessions as a volunteer or with funding, please contact
County Development Officer Esther Strous on firstname.lastname@example.org or 07496 653 056.
